He argues that some lawyers and licensees believe the Commission’s presentation of cases is detached from the operational reality but feel they have little option other than to accept the “regulator’s truth” when settling.

“I think it’s given a boost to women in the sense that they have a platform for tangible change, not just them as individuals, but collectively as a movement,” Bright says.

A point the industry largely agrees on is that DEI must start at the top.

I’m still not 100% sure what I’ll be doing next, but I suspect it will still be in the gambling industry. This has been my life for more than a decade, and it’s an industry I continue to love and appreciate.
